For budget accommodation in the heart of Rome’s buzzing city centre try out the Rome Hotel Repubblica. This simple yet comfortable Rome budget accommodation enjoys a location deep in the city centre just 300m from Termini Station, the city’s public transport nucleus, on Via Nazionale. One of Rome’s principal high streets, Via Nazionale is abundant with shops, bars and cafes.

A five minute stroll will also bring you in view of the awesome Colosseum which, leading onto the Imperial Roman Forum and eventually Piazza Venezia, forms the backdrop to the stretch of road which is undoubtedly Rome’s most beautiful thoroughfare, Via dei Fori Imperiali.

DIRECTIONS

Airplane If arriving by air to Fiumicino Airport, take the rail link to Termini Station which costs around €10 depending on the season. A taxi should cost a fixed rate of €40.

AirplaneIf arriving by air to Ciampino Airport, either take one of the coaches into Termini at a cost of around €10 (return) or public transport to Metro Anagnina for €1. Within walking distance are also some of renaissance Rome’s most beautiful sights; the Spanish Steps and Piazza del Popolo for example, where the eternal city’s vibrant nightlife manifests itself on the warm balmy spring evenings.

From the latter, it’s highly recommended you take a trip up onto the Pincio Hill, from where great city views are to be enjoyed. The Pincio is part of Villa Borghese, Rome’s huge and stunningly beautiful inner city park.
